Blackberry and Google Mobile Sync : Can't synchronise after wiping out Calendars |
The solution:
-
Calendar > (menu) Options and type wipe -
Google Sync > (menu) Options > Reset Calendar Sync -
Google Sync > Sync now
The story:
So, on my new white Blackberry Curve 9300 I started having duplicated calendar entries after installing the Google Mobile Sync tool.
I de-activated the calendars, but no joy, the entries were there
I did the same with email accounts that were connected to the calendars, but no joy.
From this Crackberry post I learned that I need to go into the calendar > menu > options and type RSET.
But then I got: "There are no OTA Enabled calendars to reset."
On the next page of the same post I learned that I need to go into the calendar > menu > options and type "wipe" and it works.
I did delete all entries, so I went back and re-sync with the google sync tool.
But alas, all the dates that were wiped would not re-sync again. Again de- and re-activating the Google calendars didn't bring much joy.
But then I found this post, which gave me the final clue: open Google Sync > Options > Reset Calendar Sync.
That deleted all entries and upon syncing again, it showed back even the entries that didn't show after the "wipe" action.
