The price of a song |
What is the price of a song? The price of a CD? How one measures the price of art? It seems that there is no clear answer to that question. One sets a price that (s)he believes a piece of art is worthy. In this case, a recorded, digitally copied piece of music composition(s).
And if it sells, it's OK. If it doesn't, it's OK nevertheless, because the value of a good recording doesn't go down in price.
A good recording tends to be a sort of 'evergreen'. That should be thus, the price: reasonably evergreen. Independent musicians should not follow the logic of the market from which they stepped down in the first instance.
